Jelly Party
- In England, there are different themed parties than are customarily held in the US. One such party is the Jelly Party. This is named not for the fruit preserve, but for Jello. The English call Jello: jelly in the same way they call Kleenex: tissue This is also how one refers to fruity, gummy candy, like gummy bears and worms.
How does this relate to you? You must dress color coded like a flavor! Here are the flavors:
- Yellow: On the rebound (You are sour and a little bitter, just got out of a relationship and are on the rebound)
- Red: Taken (Stop! You can look, but don’t touch. I’m with someone.)
- Pink: Desperate (I need some one so badly that I wore pink)
- Green: Single (Green means go. But not so quickly that I wore pink)
- Orange: Looking for friendship or a little spice in your life.
- Black: Not interested in anyone. Void of color, I am here for the Jelly.
This will be a fun, light-hearted party, and will bring new meaning to “flavor of the week.” At something like this, it would be really nice if people decided to go out, talk to and meet new people. That is the purpose. Maybe the color coding will just be a good conversation starter.
I am trying to make Teal Art Gallery a place where people can meet and enjoy good conversation. Teal should be a social as well as cultural venue. It will be good to see you there.
See the calendar for more information on the party.
